Just curious how many folks use Scent Killer, and do you think it actually helps? I use it, but often wonder how well it really works.

I've used the scentkiller spray (and same product from other companies.)
also the bodywash and laundry soap.
    I also use Ozone

I think what works best is playing the wind, but if these things each give me a couple % gain I'll take it.

I've had hunts where I haven't showered in like 2 days at camp, keep my layers outside between hunts, get dressed and undressed outside and spray everything including my boots and killed deer. I've also used none of the spray and killed deer.

I could go back and find it but they used the spray to see if it could defeat scent working dogs. It didn’t work even in the slightest.

Playing the wind will always be the most important factor. I use ozone to treat clothing and gear, I think it helps. After trying several sprays and laundry detergent, I am not convinced any of it works well enough to justify the "hunting mark up" over scent-free non hunting brands.

I do use it, it’s been part of my process to get ready since forever. I don’t think it’s a god send but I think it does help on some odors. I’ll spray myself once I get dressed at my truck and spray my stand, sticks and pack.

I will treat my clothes with ozone intermittently and I use scent free laundry and body soaps. I don’t use any other sprays or scents.

been using the S K Spray/Dry for a while now ... I dont think it hurts to use it, I try to keep my clothes clean(Sportwash)/air'd out/in scent safe carry bags, use the "Hunters Shampoo", etc. and I do spray down and I STILL play the wind .... I use a small ozone generator in the truck, just to keep smells at a minimum, dont drive with it on either, not sure if it would hurt the lungs .. ..... I guess its all some stuff I just do as a hunting regimen, same as setting up my gear and Bow ..

It is like a ritual right? Must spray down with the hunting holy water.

one can never fully be "descented", but I do believe one can reduce the 'scent stream' ... Ozone does work, I am not sure I would trust it in an open setting like a tree, maybe in a ground blind ...

Yea I agree I think if you think about the variables of spray though and how scent works I would argue that spray is not gonna work.

I do believe placebo affect is a thing too. So if you believe it works and it’s your ritual. Keep going.

I use the body wash and deodorant because all my other stuff is scented. I believe it is more unscented than my everyday soaps so, why not? I don't think it takes my human scent away though.

That hole in your face lets a lot of scent out.

Yup. I also walk to my stand in a t-shirt and khaki pants. Sometimes I change few hundred yards out from it before final approach.

Last year I went with Ozonics late in the year and now, after I change into some of my hunting gear, I walk with it on. Will see if it makes a difference. I can tell you from the late-season hunts last year, they smell the ozone and not me but, still move away.

I only use scent killer spray on my boots to lessen the stink trail I leave behind. I always hunt stand locations with the wind in my favor.

I use it, still get busted. I’m going back to the old school scent blocker. I used to use fresh pine tags. Get as many as I can and break em down and rub them all over me and then bring them up in the stand with me. Seemed to really help years ago

I started not using it (scent control) and started getting busted more often. I always try to play the wind but deer show up in unexpected places quite often. I was very unbiased with my observation because idc either way. I wanted to see if it truly made a difference and in MY experience it does help. I dont use the sprays so much as i use ozone and evercalm on the boots. But i will hit the spray if its there. If you think about it it is common sense. No it wont “eliminate” odor. Neither does poupourri. But it does knock it down. I compare it to smelling a skunk or bbq from a mile away or being right next to it. Big difference

Scent control is like spraying air freshner after you crap, it smells like you sprayed a pile of crap with air freshner. I can think back over the years where I thought scent control worked, I also have many time when all the scent control did nothing for me.

    What happen to nose jammer?

Its still out there somewhere. I agree with you. Just like air freshener after you $hit. Might be a slight improvement in flavor but not enough to justify the time money and effort. I will probably always continue to use ozone though
