im new to bow hunting.ive been critical on my scent when hunting.last year while sitting on the ground i had a deer walk within 5 feet of me.i couldn't draw so i let him go.this year on the first day i had two coming toward me from a field but they turned and went a different way.so my question is could my climbing stand give off some odor im not aware of?ive stored it out in a crawl area away from the house.im tring to figure out what may have turned the deer.i was in the tree line by twenty yards so i dont think they saw any movement.

Sometimes deer just go the other way for no apparent reason ... maybe you did nothing wrong? That's good to put your stand outdoors for a few weeks before season to remove any indoor scent.
