I am in the market for some new scent elimination spray, which I usually use right before entering the woods. Anyone have a product (s) they think works well. I usually shower and do everything possible to eliminate scent before entering the woods. I usually use scent away products...but wanted to see what other hunter's are using.

Dead down wind for me. I've tried a few other brands including scent away and I got smelled less with ddw.

Another vote for dead down wind. It's all I've used but seems like I've always had good results with it. I use the whole system as well.

Dead down wind for me too. Always used scent killer before when I switched I noticed less spooked deer due to scent. It could be in my head but DDW also seems to cover up my kids funky hockey bag Oder better than SK also

    same here.

haven't had a deer "blow" at just my scent since switching to DDW 5 years ago.
only "blows" are if they spot me.
keep a bottle in my truck door for everyday use, takes the smell of gas off my hands instantly after refueling the truck.

I've already started using the body wash, even though the season doesn't open for another 3 weeks.
won't use regular soap again till mid january :)

These products can definitely help.. as well as ozone units, etc. Staying as downwind as possible is always the best practice, and to continue to try this no matter the product being used. Using scent free bags in general helps quite a bit.

I too use the Dead Down Wind system. I wash the towel I dry off with and my hunting clothes using the laundry detergent (store in their own bag), use their shampoo/shower gel, their deodorant, and spray down my clothes, pack, and boots in the field with their spray. It's been working great for me.

According to a study done at Rutgers Scent away is the most effective of all the scent elimination sprays, I tend to agree. I have heard that Dead down wind kills deer on contact:lol:

I didn't have great luck with dead down wind a few years ago but I decided to give it another shot this year. Last year I just used carbon synergy and I would say it was the best scent elimination product I have ever used.

I'm a DDW fan as well...I also go an extra step and take chlorophyll pills as well. I start taking them 2 weeks before the season and continue through until hunting season is over.

I do the chlorophyll pills too 3.99 for 100ct bottle at the drug store. After a couple weeks a person could probably skip deodorant for a few days lol. It really does work. I don't think anything completely eliminates human Oder but I will use anything that puts the odds a little more in my favor. The biggest thing is still the wind but every little bit extra helps.

I read the Rutgers study a couple of years ago and it was well down and convincing. But one thing to know is the ingredient Triclosan was in that product and now has been eliminated. A lot of States are banning Triclosan.

DDW, I use the shampoo/bodywash, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, field wipes, face paint and field spray. Good stuff!

I use DDW laundry detergent and dryer sheets. But primos silver xp spray.
But imo taking a scent free shower (which i also use the primos xp in soap) having your hunting clothes in scent lok containers wearing a base layer in your truck/vehicle and keeping that base layer separate from your hunting clothes. Then changing to your hunting clothes outside your vehicle spraying down and most of all playing the wind. When your done hunting replace your hunting clothes back with your baselayer.
