Does she have a problem with my earlier question, about the time of the month? Just curious from another womans experience. What is she doin about peeing, hold it? I have a roll of toliet paper in my bag lol Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I know this was an awkward topic for u guys but I appreciate it. I was worried because deer can smell so well & I wasn't sure if that would hurt my hunt Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Honestly, I think it would be a great Idea to go and try it out.....If it ends poorly then you know that its not worth your time. I have yet to hear of a negative from it.
I've been either pregnant or nursing since I started hunting so I've never given any thought to the "monthly" question. But we don't hunt from a stand. We track them and we just stay downwind/crosswind of where we think the deer is. (To be honest, my husband tracks and I shoot. I'm learning though.) We take the girls with us when we scout. Miriam is 5 and Michelle is 2 1/2. We will probably take Miriam hunting with us this December. She seems old enough to act like a "hunter," and she loves being out in the woods. They both do. Peeing in the woods has never been much of a problem for us. The girls and I go commando when we go out which makes things less complicated. If we're just scouting and won't have to do much crawling around we usually wear skirts, weather permitting, which are much more comfortable. May The Sheep Be With You
This thread is BS. We all know "that time of the month" is just a myth created by women so that they can be overly emotional and *****y for a week every month with a built in excuse.
Kristine, I wondered the same thing because years ago when I was camping in Yellowstone they had warnings while camping that animals (their concern were bears) could sense/smell when it was that time of the month for women. So, last year was my first year hunting and I asked the same exact question. I didn't have any issues at all...and haven't had any this year either. As far as having to go to the bathroom. I usually just cut back on the amount of liquids I am drinking when I know that I am going out on stand. Then I make sure that I go...right before I go out to my stand. I can usually hold it the few hours I am out. Only once have I had to get out of my tree to go to the bathroom.
I knew there had to be women out there that wondered same thing. The forum is mostly men so I hesitated but I was curious if anyone had info on subject. I havnt had too much of a prob with the pee issue yet :-) Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I think the concern there is that the smell of blood might attract bears. I don't think that would have any effect on deer although they "might" associate it with humans. I don't know how you would test it for sure, but I have a feeling that deer, with their highly developed sense of smell will sniff you out no matter what kind of products you use, if you are upwind.
Some women experience more or less physical discomfort. I'm lucky in that it doesn't bother me much if at all. Nothing that a small glass of wine to take the edge off won't cure. If I get crabby, it's from having to do without sex.
That was my thought. Deer have a great sense of smell so I figured same thing as u. From what im reading, doesn't seem to hurt. All I know is I wont get a deer if im sitting at home worrying about it Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
