Yep I start tomorrow in preperation for Wisconsin Bow Deer opener on Sept 18th.
Showering with scent free products and washing all my cloths (Non Hunting) using scent free detergent. I cleaned my hunting cloths and hung out to dry a couple months ago. Time to clean the vehicle totally out among other things.

I like to start 7-10 days before the season when do most of you all start
    your cleaning regimen?

With all this being said you stinkin guys steer clear. :-)

My season opens Saturday morning. I'll probably start, tomorrow night.

Scent free laundry detergent. Play the wind. Pretty simple.

This week all the laundry in the house went to SCENT-FREE, towels, sheets, clothes, etc. Even the wife and kid's clothes. All the "smelly" stuff went to the top shelf and the unscented detergent, softener, and dryer sheets are in use.

Usually the weekend before (which would be this weekend) I wash all my clothes and hang outside so it is good and aired out and dry for next week. I have a new scent lock tote with activated carbon this year. Can't wait to try it out.

I like to start 2-3 weeks in advance, as in showering with scent free soaps and washing everyday cloths in scent free detergent. I wash my hunting cloths right after hunting season then about mid summer.

Hang my clothes outside to air out inbetween hunts. Wash mine in baking soda, keep everything in a tote. Dress/Undress in the woods. Clean the pickup but no scented wipes or anything like that.. Wear the scent lok, use Buck Fever Vanishing hunter to spray everything thoroughly on every hunt and I am giving the ozonics a try at my sits. So far so good. 2 does, 2 bucks dead down wind already all on vid-cam... 15 yards and less. No busts what so ever. Pretty decent 3.5 year old last night, 130 class 5x5, 4 other bucks out at a distance wind swirling at them.. no busts.. 100 to 300 yards.. Oh 1 bear at 25 yards too..

I understand the scentfree detergents ahead of time, but the showers? What are you going to accomplish by using scentfree showers a week early?

Routine and I believe after 8 months of using all this scented products my hair stylist wife brings home I really do need to cleanse.
This gives me a week to get all the regular smell good scented soap & shampoo out of my pores etc.
Ive been doing it for years and I believe if it helps confidence why not. The good ol saying says confidence breeds success.
