I carry my cloths in a scent lok pack liner. I suppose you could keep an extra shirt in there and swap it out once you are in the stand. More durable and quieter then a zip loc bag.
I understand and use scent control but some times I wonder if people are beginning to forget where a lot of our "scent" comes from. Now I know bloodhounds follow a trail of skin cells, sweat vapor, and breath days after a person has been through. A deer's nose has to be as good or better than a bloodhound. One can not stop your skin cells from flaking off. I would think changing in the woods and having a large area of exposed skin would just leave more scent. Just a little food for thought and feel free to flame away if you don't agree on my thought process here.
Play the wind. People are overthinking the whole scent control thing anymore anyways. Many studies have shown the spray does little to nothing to actually diminish the chance of being winded. Whitetail noses are too good. Set up to play the wind in your favor, and if you get sweaty on the way in take them off and put them in your pack or else just leave it on! Either way, that deer will be able to track every step you took to your stand.
Play the wind yes! BUT Deer don't always cooperate with this, especially when you rattle one in, they will circle you. Scent products don't/can't protect you 100% but it does help in a lot of cases giving you a little more edge!
One of my favorite stands is on the back side of a steep ridge. I have a changing spot on top where I hang my base layers to dry out somewhat. I also change my socks in my rubber boots and put the sweaty socks in ziplock. After ten minutes or so, I put all my layers on that I had packed in. This "cool down", is more to dump excess body heat, I play the wind for scent control.
