I think the difference between Scent-Lok and ScentBlocker is all in the advertising. The above paragraph illustrates that point. Don't get me wrong I think they "work" to a point, but in both companies advertising Scent-Lok always seems to make more claims about the ability of their product then ScentBlocker does, and that is what I think helped Scentblocker in this case.

Even if it works why should someone change what they are doing to buy a $100 T-Shirt let alone the rest of the big stuff? I have been killing deer every year with just washing my cloths in laundry non-scent soap and soil dryer sheets. Why should I change now? It you are killing deer I say stick with what you are doing.

I've never bought into the carbon technology for one reason or another... but I do really like Scentblocker's merino wool garments to use as liners on cold days.... I've got several sets in both heavyweight and midweight and love those for the sheer quality of the pieces.

I have always warn scent blocker. But I agree with DAWG too, that if you are having success with your current clothing then don't change. As long as your taking the proper steps before entering the woods then you should be good.

Good to know. Although I have never used any scent blocking clothing, It's usually a little out of my price range. I usually use a scent eliminating spray before heading into the woods. Not sure if it works, but it makes me feel better.

The key phrase with Scent Blocker is reducing human odor not like the foolish claims
    scent lok stated.

I liked my scentlock stuff (parka, pants) way more than the scentblocker jacket I recently bought. Maybe the guy's scentblocker jackets are decent but the women's jacket bites.

I will also add that I never really bought into the scent killing promise of either product until Justin made me wear it for our Campbell's Outdoor Challenge. I have to say... it could have been coincidences... but you really would be reaching to just call our experiences 'coincidences'. I think the stuff... when new and properly used and cared for.....does work. Maybe not like the advertising promises... but honestly... most advertising is a crock. Was litigation really necessary??

I see so many people abusing the stuff and then *****ing about it that it cracks me up.

What cracks me up is I can get hunting clothing with scentlok or xscent or scent blocker added in for reasonable prices, especially if you shop around. Why not give it a whirl if the price is right and if it can help even somewhat.. I've been using it for 12 years now with whitetails and don't plan on stopping. Do I think or have I ever thought it was the cure-all? Heck no, but if it helps me kill just one more big mature buck in a lifetime, its paid for itself in my book. All this talk about the oxonics has me curious as well. I'd like to hear more on it. Anything that can help me out in these moutains with the kinds of winds and thermals I run into is welcomed. :)
