I have a couple questions on the Scent Blocker S3 base layers. I've heard a lot of good things about them here on the forum so was looking in to getting some. I already have a lighter weight of merino wool in Minus 33. I was wondering if the Scent Blocker stuff is just as good as the other merino wool base layers such as Minus 33, Justin Charles, etc. Also, which weights in the Scent Blocker are the heaviest, mid-weight or expedition weight? Thanks for any help ya'll.

I will only use the s3 baselayers. I haven't used minus 33 before but I can tell you the s3's are very warm. No itch and truly comfortable to the point I bought a top just for home. The expedition weight is the heaviest and I normaly just use that you'll have to pack your coat to the stand otherwise you will be drenched in sweat. Greg MO was the that turned me onto them two seasons ago and they've allowed me to reduce the number of garments in my predator system.

I've never worn other merino wool products you've mentioned, but I have handled them and believe the ScentBlocker garments to be of equal quality. As I stated in another thread, I've worn my Expedition weight tops and bottoms for 3 seaons now and they have held up remarkably well to repeated washings.
