We started our kill plots today, many pictures to come. After a shower of course...

I got about 90% of this first plot cleared, just have to do a few finishing touches on it.

I have 2 more to do in the next few weeks. I asked this elsewhere, but what is the best way to clear the plot of all the leaves and sampling twigs coming out of the ground?

I was just going to run a scraper over it and then spray round up once everything begins to sprout.

Does the tractor have a front end loader? I usually push over the saplings and rip out the roots and all. A grapple works the best but it can be done with the bucket also.

My friends and I are going down to Morgan County tomorrow morning to some public land to do some shed hunting and turkey scouting. Hopefully they can produce!

Spent the afternoon working on our first kill plot again:

The plot turned out a little bigger then we planned, which is fine with us. Next step is soil test, round up, lime, till and plant.

    Thanks Justin, and Matt.

We got our Canon Vixia in the mail a few days ago. Very nice little HD cam, we now have 2 HD camcorders and a go-pro for filming turkeys this year.

You should like that camera a lot. I got one about month ago and i really like it. It takes great video, but ill have to wait till the fall to get any hunting footage. Since i did not get a turkey tag  Good luck this spring though. :tu:

Thanks buddy! We took some footage of the hound dog outside and the video is super clear. Shotgun mike and tripod next.

Im also going to have to get a new desktop computer just to edit the large video clips.

Since it is now April, i moved all my cams to possible strutting zones on old logging roads and clearing in the woods. Hopefully the gobblers will start coming out of the woodwork soon.

The next couple weeks are devoted to finishing up food plots.

I really like the snow creek pictures.

Do you have an idea of what kind of computer you guys are getting? Im running a Macbook pro and so far its doing great with some of the footage ive put on it. I need to pic up a mic too though to cut down on some of that extra noise.

My brother is looking at selling our old video cameras and getting a shotgun mic/fluid head tripod here soon.
