Piggy backing on my thread from last year, its time to start the 2013 edition. Myself, ISiman4/OH and LilSiman/OH will be updating this quite often, and we will be LIVE with Tapatalk throughout the year. Facebookers can follow us here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Siman-Brothers-Outdoors/274260275951465 This year, me and the boys have plenty of adventures worth sharing. Deer archery season is winding down, and shed season is starting up. Our annual trip to PA for trout season is in order, after that, spring turkey hunting and food plot planting will commence. This summer, we plan on coming out to the 5th annual BH.COM G2G (Original attendees who have been MIA for 2 years!) and doing ALOT of fishing. Fall will find us back in the stand where we plan on picking up the video cameras again for the first time since the 2010 season. Small budget, crappy equipment but all the desire in the world fuels us. Hopefully we can meet up with a few more of you guys along the way that we havnt already met and shared time in the woods with!
Im gonna start this off by what i accomplished today. Its never to early to get the minerals out, and with the antlers falling off and the temps around 0 at night, now is the time to do it. Thanks to the guys at Monster Raxx for this one! I also went and checked all my trail cams. I currently have 4 out (Covert Mp6, Moultrie M55, Moultrie M80, Moultrie i40) with one on the shelf that i just got working (Cuddeback Capture) and one on the way (Covert Red40). One of my future food plots that was just a CRP field in 2012: The neighbors food plot/feeder combo. He has cover/corn/brassicas/turnips all planted here:
And now for this weeks shots from the field: I have plenty of foxes, coyotes and hawks coming into this dead doe. Ill be keeping the cam here until shes pretty much all ate up. The deer have been flocking to this feeder/foo plot combo with the cold temps: It might be time to do a few late season sits... And my favorite picture of the week. An old doe checking out a fallen comrad:
Been too cold to do anything but check out cams... The new Covert Mp6...real dark pictures at night, otherwise its been solid... Been getting alot of dogs on the cam this week. Landowners have been out walking alot.
Now for the predator cam. Real glad i found this carcass. The coyotes (2) have been tearing it apart at night with the occasional fox visit, and the hawks have been getting it during the day. I also got my first ever owl pic this week, pretty pumped about that...
That picture is priceless. It's like Weekend At Bernies meets a gay pride parade. Who picked the shirts?
I saw an eagle feeding on a deer carcass along the interstate the other day. do you guys have many eagles?? I'd like to get an eagle pic. That would rock. I'm gonna look for a carcass to set my camera up on, that is a very good idea. I think all of your cameras take really good pictures.
We have Eagles but they are VERY rare...it would be a miracle for me to get a picture of one. Im talking one or two breeding pairs in the whole county. They have been seen by my farm though. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
Unfortunetly, im gonna have another carcass to put a cam over. My brother Isaac smashed a deer with his car in front of my house last night. 1.5 year old buck at that. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
