I saw one of the bucks I'm after this fall in the valley at the bottom of our property tonight. The deer have started to hit the soybeans so i decided to take my girl and go sit on the ridge and watch. I didn't get any good pics, but thats what I get for having a Kodak Easyshare ......Oh well, it was a good day. Here is a reference pic, the valley before the beans came up: Here's the guy I saw in the beans..For early/mid June he's doing pretty well: Some of the other bucks so far: All I want is one shot at that first deer. This is at the farm is SE Indiana, but there is a monster at my grandpa's property (where I had good luck during turkey season) in SW Ohio that I'm going after tomorrow. I'm getting a camera or 2 at the Ohio property tomorrow, for the rest of summer. It is ten minutes from my house and I've never hunted it before, so I'm excited about that. Here's the buck I'm after at the Ohio property.. The consensus was that he wasn't 4 years old yet. He kept his antlers until late february of this year. Can't wait to get a camera on him and see what he does this year.
Adam, i was wondering about when you were going to try and get some pics of that Ohio buck, god luck with that!
Yea, I was kind of mad at myself for not having a camera there yet, but I did finally get one out there today after work. Hopefully I can gets some pics of him this summer. Huck--many prayers have been sent to the deer gods. I'm determined to get on him, we'll see. Thanks Thanks everyone. I'm finally having a decent year with bucks on the cam
