Saw one of the Biggest I've ever seen Tonight...

    Twas a good night out there. Had a big buck for my area come through an open field tonight about 5 pm. Could not get him to commit to any calls. I think he was headed to check out a bedding area. Closest he got was about 60 yrds. I snapped a couple pics at about 100 yards before he exited the field.

    Looking at the pics, he almost looks bigger than I remember him.

    What you guys thinks?

    He looks huge in that last pic. Doubt many if anyone on here would pass him. Good luck with him, hope a doe can keep him around a few days

    Certainly heart breaking to watch him walk away but definately at the same time gives you every incentive for an all day hunt.

    Happened to me tonight too. A beautiful perfect symmetrical 12 pt. pushing the 160's around 70 yards away in a ditch. I've never seen this buck before but as quick as he came he went. I'll be out in the morning in the hopes I see him within bow distance.

    Sure looks like a keeper! Good luck on closing the deal. I see two of you from Eureka, I'm in Cottleville myself (O'fallon area). You two ever tried to hunt the palisades, or any other public ground? If so, what's your luck been like there?
