Here is the problem, everyone wants to "save the white deer" , signs all over southern wi, the problem is, they won't live anyways, predators will spot them 5 miles away. They are doomed by nature, and we are doomed by the PC. I even know avid trophy hunters that won't take one because of the ramifications. In wi it is legal to take a white deer, as long as it has one square inch of brown fur. But the public outcry would be insurmountable. You would probably have to move out of the area if you took one.
Nope, no joke. All over the countryside of south central wi, there are yard signs that say "save the white deer" and "let the white deer live" they are those flimsy wire signs like a politician uses during an election, but folks are rabid about it.
That's awesome. I remember seeing one when I was riding in the truck with my Grandpa as a kid. Never saw one while hunting though.
