saw a DANDY of a buck at lunch today

    at a forest preserve across from the office (dammit!!), probably the biggest rack I've ever seen alive and in person... body looked to be in the 4.5 range, he had nice bulk, very strong looking deer with a very thick and burley neck... rack was in the 150-160 class by my not so accurate estimates, spread was about 3inches outside the ears, nice thick main beams, overall rack height was about 14-16"... just a GORGEOUS deer... my coworker who was driving just about stopped in the middle of a busy 4 lane road to check it out, he's not a hunter but was in AWE of this stag...

    not in this area... I thought about it... its all industrial owned (our company coincidentally) and they lease the field to a farmer while they aren't using it...
