I like to hang out in the shop and watch the sun set from my vantage point I can often watch the deer move thru the pasture to the feeder. Friday night I was watching the sun set having a few beers and stepped to the door way and looked up on the ridge and I see a large brown mass. I only have about 20' mowed a path to the feeder and the horses have not been out there so there is tall grass and the deer use the cover along with topography. I saw like I said a brown mass but I knew at first glance it was a buck a big bodied buck. I watched as he came out of the bowl and granted without binos and at 150-200 yards I don't exactly how big his rack is but I saw mass and tines. He was headed to the feeder. I am waiting to pull that chip and see him till next Saturday morning. Anticipation....
