Going out to try and fill a tag on public land. Should.i go Saturday Jan 6th or Sunday 7th. Cold temps still here saturday with nnw winds 7-10mph( no the best for my spot) or Sunday South winds 10-15mph with 27mph gusts( good) but windy with flurries. It's a 2 hr drive so looking for a little advice.

i’m hesitant to hunt in 25+ mph wind, but i’ve done it. if i saw this forecast i’d hunt Saturday, all other things being equal. i understand wind isn’t right but that’s why we use scent control.

    Definitely............ BOTH days.

Wish we had a season open and it's -28* windchill (-9* air temp) right now.

Heading out tomorrow. Going to try to stay a little mobile hunting from the ground. Activity in the area doesn't get good til 8-9am. I am going to set up my stand in a tree but go to the ground 6-730am then head to my stand 8- til i am to cold to sit anymore. Hopefully the creek didn't freeze yet
