I got a call this morning from a couple of buddies asking if I was interested in going on a hunt to Saskatchewan next year on an Indian reservation. The price is $3300 and my first thought was no thank you I have enough places to whitetail hunt and didn't really want to spend that much to go on a hunt. Then they say we can also shoot mule deer, elk and moose. That changed things and I said I needed more details. It is late November rifle hunting from shooting houses. One of the guys is friends with the guide and another buddy has hunted the same reservation and said they have GIANT animals to hunt. So I am pretty jacked right now and can not wait to get up there. They said to get the price we had to have 16 guys in two groups of 8 with two 6 day hunts in a row. So there was 3 of us at 8:30 this morning and they asked me to sell the rest. Less than 12 hours later and I only have 2 spots left and am pretty sure they already gone :) Man I know the odds of getting a moose are probably not great and most likely will have better chance at whitetails and mule deer but just the chance of moose has me pretty excited :)

Wow! Have fun. Steep price. Hope you get one for that money. Too much for me though.

My cousin has deer hunted up there a few times. Some giant-bodied bucks up there but the racks are so-so. Like 140-160 (nothing to sneeze at but not WHOA.) And according to him you can't keep the meat, but I don't know if that's just the arrangement his guide has with the Indians.

One thing- you better get you a heater body suit!

Sounds like it could be a great time for a bunch of friends going on a hunt together.
