Same deer from last year?

    I have this same buck on camera from last year, or at least I think it is the same one. To me the give away is how his rack slants to the front, which is different than most other deer on my property. Let me know what you think and what you would score him. He is only an 8 pointer, and I would say a 3 1/2 year old.

    Im not sure if that is the same deer, the photo from 2012 is more narrow, shorter brow tines, and to me doesnt look like it really tilts forward like the other. With that being said you may just have another nice buck running around your timber. That is nice.

    bossbuck, you make some very good points. I too noticed his rack was more narrow than last year's buck. I just wonder how many attributes a buck keeps from year to year. The similarities are definitely there, but so are the differences!

    When your trying to figure out if its the same buck year to year. A trick I learned was to look at the markings around the mouth. The shape of the black strips and white patchs. I would put my money on same buck...
