Ok guys, how good are you? I had a pretty nice buck show up on my cam in 2017. It was the only year I ever saw him. He was taller and had a good bit of mass. Fast forward to 2020 and I have this really thick mass buck show up. I'm wondering if this is the same buck? If you look on the left main beam, he has that little drop there on the 2017 pics and he also has that same little drop on that left main beam. Here are pics from 17 and then this year. 20200829_230214.jpg 20200829_230138.jpg Screenshot_20200829-224835_Gallery.jpg 20200829_163529.jpg IMG_20200829_163832_539.jpg 20200829_163409.jpg

No way. That would put this years buck at 7 years old. That is not a 7 year old buck where I live. I can pick out dozens of differences in the racks. Look at the right side G3 - one points in & forward the other points back. BUT look at the size of the white strip behind the nose. Top deer is twice as wide. But what do I know???? I'm just a hunter.

I enjoy reading the comments in posts like this. People giving reasons why it is the same buck or why it's not the same buck. Always a great read. I think I'm leaning towards not the same but I'm not totally convinced.

Any thoughts on if this is the same deer? First 2 pics are from last year. Second 2 are ones I got recently. If it is he didn’t get a lot bigger but brow points are nicer this year.
