I am not a big fan of the Queens or the Saints.... but I was definetly rooting for N.O. in this game... simply because I don't like Brett Favre (nothing to do with his drama.. simply because growing up as a Cowboys fan in the 90's... he was a threat) and the major reason is because of the pissin' and moanin' the Queens did about the SB loss. Good game but a little dull compared to what the media had pumped it up to be. Sunday will be good though... Cowboys vs. Redskins, Patriots vs. Bengals, and Eagles vs. Falcons.... and then the Monday night game Ravens vs. Jets are all going to be "must watch"
What pissing and moaning? SB loss?? As for tonight the Vikes looked loss on offense big time. Harvin had a **** game I thought. Both teams will get better.
About the "cheapshots" on Favre. Come on Dan... the guy who posts about not bein a sports nut has to correct me on a mistake... not cool:p I'll tell ya what... the Pack is a very scary team right now... as a Cowboys fan I hope that they get off to a terrible start... but I don't see that happening.
Whatever dude....as awfull and one sided as the refing was for that game....what I remember is the Vikings mainly blaming themselves for losing. Just because ESPN spent alot of time talking about the one sided refing doesn't mean the Vikings were doing alot of whining about it. FYI...the referee crew that worked the game and the league later apolagized to the Favre and the Vikings for the missed calls...so I wouldn't blame them one bit for being bitter about the help the refs seemed to be giving the home team.
I thought it was a good game. What impressed me most was the Viking's def. holding the Saints to 14pts. That's something to brag about. Farve looked rusty as expected. He seemed to remember some of those hits he took in the NFC championship last year. He hardly ever set his feet when he attempted a pass and when he did he connected. I don't put much stock in the first two weeks of the season.
Glad I went to sleep at halftime...As a falcons fan and a division rival anytime the Sainst do good is bad for me.
That's probably because he is already scheduled for another cortisone injection in his ankle for today. NFL.com had that listed last night.
Lets not forget Chargers vs Chiefs on Monday night as well. Vegas has dropped the line to 4.5 from 5.5 for this game. Chiefs will surprise teams this year and I hope it's first surprise is the Chargers.
