I found a Bear compound bow of mine that had not been drawn back in over 25 years. Does anyone have a suggestion as far as to how to test the strength of the arms? I don't want those arms to snap in two when I draw in back.
Any suggestions with this concern will be greatly appreciated
    Thank You
    Donny

What kind of limbs? Wood at all it will probably snap. (from experience)

I borrowed a 50 yr old bear and took my first bow buck with it. 45# recurve. I used light aluminum arrows 2115's as I recall. My archery Guy was concerned when helping me set it up. HE shot compation with Fred Bear. used it 1 yr and it was retired.
    Go slow and minimize stress.

    Oh and pray

Yes Sir. They are wood. I think I’ll take the quiver off and use it as a decorative. I would want it to hurt anybody Thank you

Yes Sir. I think the idea of retiring it is my best safe option. Thank you. Oh. Two things that Fred Bear story was very interesting and I agreed 100% about praying
