I just bought the Big Game safety harness and it is easy to put on. But I don't like the strap to secure yourself tot the tree. Do you use the strap that comes with the harness or do you make your own?

You can make an awesome tree strap with a riggers belt and a caribeener. Riggers belts are the military belts that have the d loop for repelling. Or you can just buy one from gorilla they sell it for like $14.99

I have the Muddy harness and use the tree strap that came with the harness. Though, I did change out the carabiner that came with it for quicker disconnect. The one it came with was a triangle shaped spin lock.

Yup, I wouldn't consider using anything else unless it was the whole life line system; which is the same thing only it extends all the way to the ground. I should make it a point to get those anyways.

This is the way to go, I dont care for the straps that come with them. I love my rope, prussic knot combo!

I just upgraded my gorilla g-15 from last year to the muddy safeguard. I like that the muddy is significantly lighter, not near as bulky, and it comes with a really sweet linemans rope setup. However, I do not like the tree strap or the triangular spin lock caribeaner it came with. I will be using the tree strap that came with my gorilla G15, much better design and easier to use in my opinion.
