My HSS harness has been pulling at my neck this season and I remember last season as well. By pulling at my neck, I mean the back portion pulls the back of my neck forward. I've worn the vest for the past seven seasons and have messed with the adjustable straps. Not an issue for a short sit, but it becomes very uncomfortable after a long day. It seems to mess with my overall posture. Is this just a case of me (meaning my gut) outgrowing the harness? I'm guessing I just need to go up a size. If so, I think I'll go with a harness that doesn't have a full vest attached. Any ideas and recommendations are welcomed. Thanks!
You may have to go up a size, but I don't think so. The harness is pulling back on you because the prussic knot is not high enough or the strap to the tree is not high enough. In case you don't know, once you are in the stand, the prussic knot is suppose to be ABOVE your head when you are STANDING. Once you sit down on the seat, you should NOT be able to lean forward and pickup up something off the platform. The tether will prevent you from doing so. This will prevent you from ever falling off the seat and out of your stand.
