Just bought a new safety harness and I am looking for help in the easiest way or ways to wash it so that its scent free when I use it.

Just spray it with some scent killer before you head to the woods. I'll spray mine when I get home sometimes and let it air out but no reason to wash it.

And definitely do NOT put it in your washer and dryer. A) the chance of damaging a buckle and B) the chance of damaging your washer and dryer. Obviously, A is the important one!

I fill a bucket with water and scent free laundry detergent/baking soda mix, hand wash and hang to dry.

Same as above. Spray before and after.

40 years of bow hunting I never thought to wash a harness. Hasn't been a major problem that I know about. If I missed one Oh Well!

I wash my harness from time to time. Hunting in the hot humid climate my harness can get pretty smelly from sweat. I always spray my harness down but sometimes it needs a good washing. I put my harness in the washing machine but place it in one of those garment bags, don’t know what they are called but my wife uses them to wash her bras in. it is a mesh type bag with a zipper. Using this bag helps to protect the harness and the washing machine. I don’t put it in the dryer though, hang to dry.

Hand wash mine in the bath tube every so often. But just as others have said spray it down and leave it outside. Mine is either always hanging under our covered porch or in my scent free tote. It never comes inside!

Good advice! Putting it in the washer and dryer can definitely damage the straps as well as the buckles.

Good things already mentioned...this year all my non-carbon stuff/gear get's a bath in Carbon Synergy activated powder/water. I fill a tote about 1/2 full of the stuff and drown the things in it, and then let air dry. The water then is bottled and used on hunts as scent spray...it dries leaving the activated carbon absorbed into the clothing...great for all my non-carbon allow clothing (use scent lok primarily) because my wallet can't get everything I want so been adding to it year after year.

If you don't want to do the carbon thing next best thing is what has already been metnioned.
