my oldest son is showing lots of interest in hunting over the last year and im planning on getting him out squirrel hunting with me some this year(from the ground) and if he likes it im going to invest in a 2 man ladder stand next year so we can both get up in the tree for his first deer hunts..... i know this is really going to affect my success rate but it's all part of being a dad right?! Anyways, the real question is where the heck can i find a safety harness for a very small person?? he just turned 3 in july and he takes after me so he is a small 3 yr old...only about 29 lbs

    help??

I just bought a Muddy for my boys, but they are 10 and 11. I'm pretty sure it'd be too big for a 3 year old. If you'd like me to, when I get home this evening, I can try it on my 3 year old daughter and see how it fits her.

The smallest one I am aware of is from Hunter Safety Systems. They make the Lil Stalker but it is for 50-120 lbs. By next year though he might be at 50lbs.

same one i found,. i did find a couple that might work on non-hunting sites. these are mostly for climbing but a couple of them are for the size range you need. the CAMP bambino (hunter orange) is for 3-8 not exceeding 85 lbs

I know you probably wont want to cut corners on the safety issues as i wouldn't but i don't think that if he is 10 lbs off the 50lb mark will effect him as long as the harness fits snug and secure and your in the stand with him

First off I apologize for not getting to this last night, had kind of a crazy evening after work. Here are some pics of my 3 year old daughter in the Youth Muddy harness. As you'll see it is pretty big on her. You'll see in the first pic a full shot, then a shot of the leg straps and finally a pic of the waist strap. Hope this helps some.
