A little advice needed guys. I'm going to hunt this saddle in the morning. The arrow will be the wind direction in the morning and the purple is where I'm thinking of setting up. What do y'all think? Is there a better option? Kind of new to hunting ridges.

I would keep two things in mind, if you can set up with the wind quartering to you and the saddle isn't that wide you should be able to hunt both directions with being winded ...providing a steady wind.
If your just looking for any buck that's what I would do.

If your looking for a mature buck then I would move the stand either north or south and cover just one half of the saddle and the sure to be path perpendicular to the saddle.
This time of year mature bucks will travel little used runs that are down wind from a saddle crossing...they are scent checking for does without going through the open cover of the saddle.

Downwind side of course but I'd try to keep the sun to my back if possible also.
