I’m new to the saddle game. Just purchased a Hawk helium saddle and want to change out the bridge, lineman’s belt and tether. Do you know if you can use HSS Lifeline rope to make those? I have one still in the box and would be great if i could use that rope to make those lines. I believe the rope size is 11mm. Thanks!

Yes you can. Just learn to tie the appropriate knots to be safe. 11mm line is actually pretty heavy by saddle standards, but still a good choice. I started by doing the exact same thing. A figure 8 knot is all you need and keep your tails long.

It will make things a tad bulky I think. Also adds a bit more weight. I used similar when I made my saddle and weighed a lot more. I now wish I knew how to braid amsteel

Pretty crazy to see all of Greg's old DIY saddle videos before he started Tethrd. From where he was at then to where they are now is truly impressive. Cool video too!
