4 ,5,6 I agree with and have been asking for last 10 years. I only agree with 2 if they raise the age to 21 to join the arm forces.
checked out a ****s store the other night for hte first time, I wont be going back for any hunting or fishing stuff, very sad selection. I may go in there to get my kid's sports stuff is about it
I see no reason to buy any tactical weapon or another handgun, that is just my decision and not based on anything other than I know a shot gun with buckshot is my best plan of action.
And to vote. If you are too immature, impulsive, emotional, and reactionary to own a gun then the same applies to voting.
Germ there is no draft the military is a vocation decision, while I appreciate the armed forces the guys that got drafted have a chip up and a half up on current enlisted.
Confused about 6. Private sale... so I can’t accept a firearm from a grandpa or Uncle who wants to pass down an heirloom? Or is that considered something else like inheritance? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
in regards to guns; 4&6 are essentially the same thing. 4 will lead a a national gun registry, which will lead to confiscation. There is no such thing as the "gun show loophole." All FFL vendors must comply with background check requirements...whether they're brick and mortar, web based, or just people renting a folding table at a gun show. I think every reasonable person can get on board with 5
I'm looking into placing all my family's into a trust with infinity "lease" agreements to personally held firearms. Not sure of all the legal steps yet but working on it.
Also, Congress does not have Constitutional authority to regulate private intrastate commerce. So while states could in theory regulate private sales, a blanket nation-wide federal ban issued from Capitol Hill on private sales is unconstitutional. In other words, if a resident of Michigan wants to sell a used shotgun to another resident in Michigan (whether family or a complete stranger); DC cannot ban that. But Lansing could (in theory.) The morons in Springfield just approved a state licensing requirement ($$$) and additional background check for all gun vendors in Illinois and require them to videotape all transactions. This is idiotic and redundant because these people already have to pass the federal FFL background check and fee requirements. Basically IL gun stores will have to pass these costs on to the consumer, which will push most Illinois residents to either purchase them on the Internet or drive across state lines to buy their long guns. (Handgun sales across state lines are prohibited at the federal level.) Spineless Rauner will probably sign it just to show everyone how tough he is on crime; neglecting the fact that this will literally do NOTHING to affect those who intend to violate the law- and in fact will increase private sales.
Walmart says it will raise age restriction to 21 for gun purchases, remove items resembling assault-style rifles from website.
So, I wonder where all that merchandise will go? Will ****s/Walmart bite the bullet (no pun intended)and destroy them? That would be the ethical thing to do right? Or will they sell them to another company who will just turn around and sell them to the public. What a bunch of hypocrites, Walmart is especially hypocritical. They might as well stop selling alcoholic beverages, because if you use their logic, that has been used and resulted in the death of far more innocent children then any rifle has ever been. At what point do margins become more important than children's lives Wally World? I can't believe people fall for these PC stunts big businesses try to pull.
After really thinking about what all of these stores are trying to do......nothing will ever stop what happened. If someone wants to shoot up a school ,government building, grocery store, local tavern, or whatever..... they will find a way to do it and nothing will stop them !!!
There's 4 other bills on the table right now in IL. Mag ban, "assault" weapon ban, raise buying age to 21 for certain guns, certain long guns will require 72 hour waiting period, and bump stock ban are what I can remember scattered throughout the bills. Haveta see if i can find link again. Edit here's link. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20180227/illinois-gun-control-bills-to-be-heard-on-house-floor Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It wouldn’t bother me if points 4 and 5 were put into law. I don’t know enough about the “gun show” loophole to have an opinion. 1-3 don’t make any sense unless voting age, military age, and legal adult age are also raised. Illinois is the perfect example of how most gun laws will never stop this kind of senseless tragedy. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I support their right to do this the same I support a Christian baker to not have to bake a cake for a gay wedding. Why? You can get the gun or cake you want somewhere else.
