Curry announced that he will fore-go his senior year, and enter the NBA draft. Thoughts? Personally, I thought he was the funnest player to watch in all the NCAA. He reminds me of Allen Iverson.... I loved how he could single handedly take over a game. I think he should have played his senior year...
I also think he should have stayed. I'm not sure how he'll be in the NBA, should be an interesting player to watch. Wonder who's gonna take him.
Personally, players who shoots as much as he does and turn the ball over 4 times a game just don't impress me all that much. He was fun to watch during their NCAA run last season, but overall I think he'll be an average NBA player at best. During the season they showed his stats against BCS schools (OU, WVU, Duke, etc) and he was horrible from the field and handling the ball. He was a fun watch, but then again put someone like Wayne Ellington, James Harden or Jeff Teague in Curry's conference and I'm sure they'd be an incredible watch too.
He is a really good college player but he will not be a star in the NBA IMO...most likely will be a role player as he struggles at creating his own shot off the dribble. Whenever Davidson played a good college team he got shut down.
Same as next year...possibly a little less, possibly a little more. One more year of college ball under his belt would have likely helped him.
I don't see him being an impact player in the league. Exciting player when the 3's are going in. Who knows....I didn't think Deron Williams would be an impact player, and I'm an Illini fan.
I agree. Show me the money! Get while the getting is good. However, I strongly disagree with Lawson and Ellington going to the NBA
Really? Lawson as a lottery pick and ellington's status as high as it possibly could be given his height? I figured both of them would go, I'm glad Ed Davis turned down being a top-5 pick to stay, though.
Yes that is true. But I'm a diehard Tarheel fan Would have loved to see them stay. I knew it was about a 98.7% chance they were gone. I must say both good decisions for them. But being a UNC fan it kind of hurts.
If he wants exposure he should have stayed for his seinor year. If he wants the big bucks he should have gone last year, while he was a real hot item after the tourney. Its hard for a streak shooter like him to amount to much except for maybe a decent 6th man/energy guy. Time will tell, god knows ive been wrong before! :d
