Hey guys just curious to see what everyone is seeing in the woods, I’ve had a few rubs and scrapes showing up, haven’t checked my cameras in a little while so I’m not sure what the movement is like. Anyone seeing chasing yet?

Had some year and a half old bucks chasing fawns on camera, probably no idea what they're doing, but enjoying it nonetheless. Had a scrape appear in the middle of the foodplot under an apple tree licking branch two days ago. The rut is approaching, but not here yet.

When you start seeing more dead deer on the side of the highway, the pre-rut is starting.

I firmly believe deer were waiting for this hot weather to clear out--have many pics on game camera,s an hour or mpore after dark, this past sunday weather started cooling in central wi and we are now seeing more deer activity, more than likely will really take off now

We have dead deer on the sides of the roads, however I have not seen any evidence of the pre-rut as of yet.

Should be getting close at least then, the dead deer on the side of the road probably tripled around here over the past 2 weeks and the bucks started to show up in daylight on camera. Either way, it's coming!

Seeing the same in my area. Started seeing younger deer getting smashed and yesterday I saw a real nice buck trying to cross the highway at 4 am-ish.

Rut has been over down here in SW Florida so I'm heading to my place in Illinois. Leaving tomorrow morning. Hope to be in the blind this weekend, with a swhacker loaded.

Starting to see some bucks with their nose to the ground. Couple on camera following does by 10 min or so. Cooler weather should get them going now. Most of the movement is after dark and real early morning.

I should know a little more about the rut by Fri around noon. Both the next two mornings are supposed to be a lot colder.

Definitely more deer movement this week than all season. Should be just around the corner. In SO seeking is just starting.

Gonna get out this weekend, but I have a feeling the first 2 weeks of November are going to be killer this year. Granted those 2 weeks are good every year but something about this year I just have a feeling based on how things are shaping up.

We've seen chasing on the cooler mornings for over a week now and I'm talking about 3 yr old and older bucks. Also some legitimate fighting among older deer. Then today my buddy shows up on the farm to hunt and while still at the truck at 3pm he spots our biggest known deer on the farm a couple hundred yards away standing over a bedded doe in a freshly mowed CRP field. We are talking a mature 175" deer. I take that to mean that the very first does are coming in right now.
