If a fawn is still with its mother does that mean that doe hasn't gone into heat yet? I'm in northern Wisconsin and haven't seen much rut activity yet. Is the rut still to come?

She could have already been bred as well, my question would be whether the fawn has come in yet, they can be your late cyclers and give you another opportunity.

I've seen fawns with does all season longx and 2 weekends ago even had 2 mature does come in with a button buck in tow. That one really threw me for a loop

Cls pretty much covered it in my opinion. She either hasnt been in heat yet, or her time has come and gone this season! Hard to say for sure
