Just wondering what you all are seeing for rut activity in Illinois. I'm bowhunting down south at school right now and am going this evening so I'll let you know how I do. All friends say they running hard but aint gone in a while. Heading home to Central IL fri for gun season but from what I been hearing, it prob be over by then. Just wondering???

    Thanks
    Good luck to all

As of Saturday it was on like I have never seen, saw five bucks in an area that I didn't think could hold five. Monday morning, after the temp drop and with the wind, I saw nothing...

I will not have a chance to bowhunt again until after the un season, so I am guessing the rut will be long gone soon!

All I saw tonight was two button bucks together just eating in Williamson Co. I saw no signs of the rut in full swing. Just a few little scrapes and that's it.

The rut is on but I think there in lock down. I haven't seen a deer in the last 4 times in the stand.

I hunt in Adams county near pike line and have seen some chasing goin on, but only really get to hunt weekends. Saw some deer bunched up tonight driving by one spot I hunt. Don't seem to be moving like they were week or two ago, have some friends tho near a spot where there's a lot of deer and they've seen lots of movement since Sundays little storm and colder weather.
