rusty screws

    after my 31hrs in the stand over three days i looked at my bow and noticed some rust on some of the screws. what do yall do personally for this? tips/tricks:confused:

    Gently swipe with the rem oil just like your gun. Use a q-tip.

    Mineral oil will do the same and doesn't smell.

    I have tried mineral oil also and it works good.I have also smeared some bow string wax on the screw heads to bead water away.You can also use the wax on screw threads to keep them from coming loose and to seal moisture out.

    yep i like the bow-wax trick! i use it on my broadheads too

    I was having the same trouble and didn't want to just spray or wipe anything on it that would stink worse than me:cool:

    I just let 'em rust. :)

    I do have stainless steel hardware on my bowfishing bow. It's pretty. ('cept for all the dried slime and blood) ;)

    I have the same problem but only on my sight. Haven't had a single spot of rust on my bow.

    maybe when im back in MN visiting my folks i can bring it into the bow shop and they can swap out the screws on my site and rest...those are the only ones...
