CIA Director John Brennan testimony is very interesting. I listen for about an hour this morning. My friend summed it up best "Listened this morning for a little over an hour. What I found interesting is that FBI and the CIA have been collecting intel long before the 2016 election. They have thwarted cyber threats from Russia going back decades. The CIA knows their tactics and recognizes patterns and can trace the activity back to Russia directly or back to Russia through contractors they hired for cyber sabotage. Evidence they have shows they have been able to create a narrative through multiple outlets that comes off as authentic to some it is exposed to. Their ultimate goal is to disrupt our definition of democracy and free speech. Keep in mind the CIA is neutral to any party affiliation. In the open portion of the hearing, Brennan spoke to facts and not to any individual." It's time to wake up about Russia. They are not our ally.

Who would have considered Russia our friend? I do find it kinda funny the US acts innocent about influencing elections, and I would be willing to bet our gov't has done some hacking too.
More than 80 times according to some. http://www.npr.org/2016/12/22/506625913/database-tracks-history-of-u-s-meddling-in-foreign-elections
You realize this has been happening for decades and nothing to do with trump? Go back to sticking your head in the dirt.
I've been saying for a long time, of course Russia has tried to meddle into our election, and I would bet there are no less than a dozen other countries trying also. Its not like we don't also, and many times we don't even try to hide what we are doing. Now saying the CIA is neutral to party affiliation isn't accurate. They are run by people and as you get up in the chain of command they are very political and it does impact what they focus their efforts after. I also am not as convinced that we can so easily tell what is and is not Russian. Most of the code that is being used is not Russian, it is a compilation of code from around the world. When it comes to hacking, the hackers are always a step ahead. The only secure computer is one that is unplugged, locked in a vault that nobody has the combination for. As much security we try to put in place, the weakest link is always the people using them.
Who honestly doesn't think they along with every other world power doesn't hack us? I don't think we need to be buddy buddy with everything Russia does, but at same time it'd be stupid to completely break ties, because let's face it Putin is goin to do what he wants regardless of what we say and we do exactly the same things to enemy and allies alike. If you have any further allusions about the Russians and US not continually spying on each other notice the tall yellow building, US embassy, and the large white building on the right, Russian "white house," in pic above. It's not a coincidence that the 3 letter agencies are on the top floor of our building. Interestingly enough this pic was bought in a street market in Moscow and they had a whole stack from this and 3 other vantage points that serve as op's around our compound. Good times year spent living there ha. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
It is in the best interest of any country with aspirations to be the world power to disrupt the hegemonic state. These games have been played throughout history.
I have worked with a few Russian engineers at work over the years, I can not believe we feared those people for a second. I can not believe they could build an accurate ICBM, then again with a nuke you only need to get kinda close. As far as the hacking and doling out anger or angst about it. My own gov't getting hacked angers me more at the people who's job it is to protect our computer systems rather than the people doing the hacking. It is like spying you have to assume it is happening.
Russia stole the election by leaking info about one of the candidates seeking to steal the election. I'm outraged. I need a midol. And a sex change. And a safe zone. And a resistance movement. And a costume shaped like a giant vulva. Anyone who disagrees with me is what's wrong with this country, not me.
First, it's not hacking Once we figure that out, we have a better chance to fix the problem. It's not spying either
^Yup. I'll also offer, a long time ago I remember seeing a very small article in the WSJ about a Sr official quitting a White House administration because he "disagreed with the administration's disinformation policy"...it was a wake up call to me that I always keep in mind... The media is also played (by this and prior administrations as well as each party)...
