I'm in a pickle, i have a few different farms with good fields and small pockets and so on but the birds seem to be avoiding the fields already and have gone silent. I'm planning to take it to the woods surrounding these fields in the morning and just try to get on a roosted bird. I want to use my bow but don't have the confidence to even attempt without a blind, am I crazy thinking I could get on a bird in the woods, set dekes and blind before getting busted? Obviously proximity and all kinds of factors play into this but is it reasonable to think its possible? I've always scouted in advance and had my blind set the evening before... I have a cheap little pop up that I can back pack easily enough...HELP!

That's a sweet idea. Might try that next year.
