    Hey everyone,

I'm starting to look into a nice pair of hunting boots. I live in the Panhandle of Nebraska and we have rattlesnakes. Are rubber boots strong enough to protect you from a snake bite? What are some things you look for in a quality boot? What are some pros and cons to both?

Thanks in advance & happy hunting.

Bogs makes a pair of snake proof rubber boots called diamondbacks. I have a pair and love them!

I just bought a really nice pair of snake boots from cabelas. Kind of pricey but well worth it.

Mr. Shuls was bit on the foot a while back wearing sandals is why I posted that, just for reference to the newer members. I don't have to worry about snakes for the most part here so didn't have any practical advice concerning the OP question. Thank goodness Shuls is okay.
