Is it normal for a buck to rub a bush like this. This bush is taller than me and I'm 6'1". ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418419853.734450.jpg

if the tree or bush is not too big around bucks will often push them over and rub them..

I often see rubs on horizontal or diagonal brush trunks, 2-3" in diameter. Just set a camera near some on a new property as a matter of fact. In high density they usually indicate a bucks core area.
