Rub or bear?

    the first day i went scouting this year i saw this. i think its a buck rub but i brother said he thinks its from a bear what do you think it is

    Ill go for something else like a tractor . Had that happen to me last season, i was so pumped but then i saw how symmetrically the rub was and how it had no gouges in it.

    Hard to tell w/o a size ref. If it's a maple it could be a porcupine.

    Doesn't look like a rub to me though.

    Looks like someone backed into it, 2 years in a row! If it was a rub the branch on the right would be skint or at least nicked, most of the time anyway.
