You never know what you will run into out in the great outdoors!! last week i was walking down an abandoned RR spur toward one of my bowfishing spots where a creek runs under the RR bridge and ties into a small river. Rounding the curve i noticed someone that appered to be sitting on a bycycle ON TOP OF THE TRACKS  Well as i got closer i seen why, this elder gentleman had made a rig that keept his bycycle on top of one of the rails and the steering straight .I talked with him for about 15 minutes and found out he was in his 70's had smoked for 51 years, and recently quit because he was tired of getting winded. He needed some form of exercise so he invented the RR track bike to get out and enjoy the outdoors :) It uses roller blade wheels, a pvc tube and some cable,,He was a pleasure to talk to, and I found out that he had lived in my area most of his life, and gave me some history lessons about the area that i have lived in for 14 years. I had to take a pic and he was more than happy to let me :D. OH,,,, He got to see me miss a Carp at 15 yards.

That's cool and all, but why?

Why not just ride down a dirt road?

Guess the old man just needed something to build, eh?

Very inventive. I would imagine he'd get to see more on the tracks then just riding down some ole road, maybe not but still neat. I wonder how reliable it is and assume by the pictures and necessity that it comes off rather quickly as well.

Rob your exactly right, He said he sees all kinds of game while riding on the tracks. while we talked that day a beaver came floating in directly under us on the bridge. He said he had never seen one up close :) I hunted directly behind where that pics was after a 140 buck last season,,, he won  My son and I were back there this morning looking for fish and got to see our first ever LIVE otter cross the tracks in front of us and slip into the river. I found one dead last year a couple miles away. very rare in Indiana as they are being reintroduced.
