Don't know how long it will last, but I have used 5-6 year old R-up with good results. It was the good stuff not what you get at wally world
you can get some stuff at walmart called Illimanator that has 41% gly in it. White bottle with a purple cap. But I know what you are getting at as most of the stuff on the shelf is ready mixed 18% stuff with a big price tag.
Not all generic roundups are loaded with surfactants. Look for the 41% glyphosate but also see if there is wording on there indicating surfactant. Usually people use the terms clearout 41 plus, credit extra, which the plus or the extra would be indications that the product is loaded with surfactant. If yours doesnt contain it, it should. Also, most people don't do this but you really should add 2# per acre of ammonium sulfate to your tank mix to make it burn down better. Or, i also invented a product that does the same which includes other goodies in it for growth explosion.
great white....I stumbled onto many really intelligent people over the years. I was first approached by a supplier of winter wheat seed, and asked if my clients would be interested in generic roundup, for 1/3 the cost that the farmers were paying. The product was clearout 41 plus (the first generic glyphosate). I said NO....for 1 day, until i decided to poll my clients and ask if they thought I should handle it....it got nuts. All the big fertilizer companies were running ads saying how it was going to kill corn and soybeans. Monsanto got crazy as well. Within 3 years or so, all those companies who were bad mouthing generic glyphosates were selling it themselves. Heck, many of the generics were/are monsanto tech product. Forwarding ahead, many other name brand chemicals had generic versions come on board as their patents ran out. There are tons of products out there. Many of the people on sites like this, are not getting all good information or all the information they need. Not all generics are created equal. Not all glyphosates are loaded with the same active ingredient. Not all product is "FRESH" and many deals are year or 2 old inventory that people are looking to unload.
