Finch,, You ask what i had done to the roller to keep the arow from falling off so here are some pics for ya. Its simply heavy wire bent to shape and spot welded to the slot in the head of the screw. The only draw back is when its done like this you cant screw it in the riser because the guard hits the shelf. So i used a side bar fron an old prong rest. threaded a hole for the roller shaft but had to mount on the inboard side of the bow shelf because the shaft wasnt long enough to allow it to be mounted to the other side. This is temporary, im going to make a new shaft that has a set screw in it to be able to remove the guard and be able to screw it back directly into the riser. It works great as long as the arrow stop block is arranged directly up when shooting.
Thats a nifty idea. Sometimes I have problems with keeping my arrow on the rest. I get pretty excited sometimes. :D Thanks for posting. Oh BTW...I like the gold plated rest.
Nice job. I'm impressed you can do work that delicate with those bannana fingers of yours. :D I tried to epoxy a washer to the side of my roller bolt to keep the arrow on it. Washer kept popping off. Needed a different epoxy I guess. The AMS has sides on it's roller. It's twice as much as a brass roller rest tho'.
