I have sat here and watched you guys cry about who should be there, and none of you are arguing for your team. Hate is a terrible thing to mativate you...You can go back and read all my posts, i am not a negative guy, but i am very competitive and hate loosing. I have sat hear and heard I dont want to see a rematch, Bama had their chance, etc..etc..etc. This game was no different that the first game other than Bama made there field goals. You can say what you want, but Bama has the BCS national championship, if LSU gets the AP, or T Boone buys OK light their own rings so be it.

Hope you guys pull for your teams as hard as you have for other teams and against Bama throughout this whole ordeal. Roll Tide Roll

For the record, I am in favor of a playoff, I do think the SEC is the hardest conference in College football...but I am not a homer for the conference. I was rooting for Oregon agaisnt AuBARN last year, because...well thats our rival.

I was thinking about you guys when Kurt said no way you can split this championship the way Bama dominated, I laughed and said eyes are rolling across the nation now.

If you care to even reply to my thread, please list the team you think deserved to be there instead...and there loss plus their biggest win. Remember, it was not Bama's or LSU's fault they were the 2 best teams in the country and in the same conference division as well. Thanks, and I look forward to more sports talk for years to come.

A quiet Alabama fan? Is that possible?

If I were an Alabama fan, I would keep quiet and just be happy they stole a national championship. They lost at home the first time in a field goal contest, and beat what looked like a high school offense last night. That game was an embarrassment to football.

Worst mythical national championship game, ever. Thanks BCS.

I'll just copy and paste from the other thread.

Serious question. Is the championship supposed to be the best team right now or over the whole season? This isn't the NFL where you get a playoff. So when every game matters don't you have to win your conference or even divison to be the best team in the nation?

I don't really care that they are the best team right now because the current system isn't supposed to work that way. Just saying.

I agree Alabama was the better team last night... but they lost to LSU during the season and not only didn't win their conference, they didn't even when their division. After what I saw last night, I think we could make a long list of teams that could have played better than LSU. Oregon, Oklahoma State, West Virginia... Rutgers... Podunk County Junior High. That's not really the point. The point is the regular season is played to determine who the conference winners are and Alabama was not... That's the process. There have been lots of teams historically who have been much better at the end of the season than at the beginning. Let's say a team loses its first 3 or 4 games but then wins 8 in a row at the end of the season. They may be the smoking hot best team in the land but their performance during the regular season says they do not get a shot at the Championship. I am an Auburn fan but I like Alabama too. I really liked Mike Shula when he was at Alabama but agree he was not a good head coach. I really liked Gene Stallings and would have loved to see him coaching for Auburn when Tuberville left. I do not like Nick Saban as I don't think he is a good role model or a good Alabamian and the importance of winning football game is secondary to that standard. That's the difference between the average Auburn fan and the average Alabama fan, tossing out the fanatical exceptions of course that would poison a town's trees over a stupid ballgame or do something equally insane. Bottom line is this... congratulations... your team won. Celeberate it for a day or two... but let the rest of us get back to life without listening to Roll Tide!!! 24/7/365.

I was impressed with Alabama in the last college game of the year...which is all it is. It's not an end all game like it should be...even a 4 team playoff would be better than what we have currently!!

As if my football year couldn't get any worse, Bama has to be crowned NC.

You guys are ridiculous. The regular season doesn't determine the national champion, it determines which two teams get the chance to play for it. LSU obviously deserved said chance. OK St and Bama were so neck and neck on who should go second, that it almost caused a civil war. It even had B1G fans chiming in. It boiled down to both teams being great, but a loss to LSU by an OT FG was easier to stomach than losing to Iowa St, so Bama got their chance.

Bama won the game that matters, all other games are only to get you to that point. They should have a small playoff to help alleviate the decision process of who gets to go. That doesn't change the outcome of the game once you are there.

I'm so tired of this every game counts rebuttal. It's pathetic, every single team lost a game that counted this year. Every single one. That argument holds no water.

Next year, I hope they abolish auto bids, or keeping teams out because the conference is so good. Use the same system for rankings (which isn't all that flawed, computers mixed with voters bias isn't as bad as only one or the other) and let the top 8 teams in the nation play for the title at the end. Who cares if 4 are all from the same conference, or even division? The top teams should get the shot.

I ask for a list of teams you guys thought deserved to be there as opposed to BAMA...I also ask for the score to their best win, and worst loss. No one listed anything, because your argument would be paper thin at best.

The only thing Bama and LSU had against them was the fact they met each year in the regular season. Before this game LSU had their season dubbed as the greatest "body" of work ever. They had beaten 7 or 8 top XXX teams, and the only tough game was to the then #2 team in the nation and they beat those guys on the road. They are simply AMAZING

In this thread alone, Alabama has stolen a championship, Saban has been called a poor role model and winning football games comes second to everything else (imagine that, BAMA plays him to win football games), and BJE mentioned Bama does not deserve this because they were only the better team tonight....IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME...they won the NC game, but that does not matter as much as the fact they lost a game before that. Unless you gave LSU the crown without playing the NC game, then someone with a loss on their record had to play them....who has the most impressive lost of anyone in the running...BAMA

I have been reading all day, and Vito stated this above, LSU has a terrible offense, Jordan Jefferson is terrible etc...Now up until game time Jefferson was starting his fourth bowl, mcarron his first...advantage LSU

This same anemic offense hung 40 on #3 Oregon, 47 on #16 West Virginia, 41 on #17 Florida, 38 on Tennessee, 45 on # 20 AuBARN, 52 on ole miss, 41 on #3 Arkansas and 42 on #14 Georgia in the SEC championship....now wait for it, her it comes...In 8 quarters and a few overtimes they scored 3, thats right 3 field goals against Alabama. 9 points in 2 + games for a team avg. over 40 a game against highly ranked opponents.

Alabama won this game exactly the same way they should have won the first game, they just made their field goals this time. That defense is simply dominate and shut LSU down. Spin it however you want, but in the end Alabama is the national champion, in both polls and can lay claim to yet another NC. I have been heated all day at all the BS spouted and the attempts to take credit away from each of these teams...but then it occured to me, Bama is winning again, and people are hating....yes folks all is well in the world of college football

Hey guys, its cool as I realize this is a big 10 dominated board, and bitterness toward the SEC is part of the package...I get that...Vito, Germ...you do realize Bama and michigan will meet week 1 next year in Arlington, Texas. I REALLY wish you could have got some of this D, but we should bring a pretty good product to that game next year, and so should you. looking forward to it.

And lastly, remember, I have said NUMEROUS times if bama would have gotten jumped, so be it. The only way to avoid any BS is to win out and they did not do that. I think this BCS mess is crazy too, but luckily our fan base reaped the rewards this year.

Many people have had issues with the BCS system ever since it's inception.

How you are spinning this into the whole world hates Alabama is beyond me...people hate the SYSTEM.

Your team won...why not just be happy and stop worrying about what everyone else thinks?

I am not spinning anything, nor do I care who hates Bama. I was just pointing out the obvious about LSU. They went from americas darling to terrible offense, should have never been played. Basically making the same arguments as everyone else...only my team got lucky in all this BCS madness, but could very well be left out nextime.

Please explain...and notce my signature reads Roll Tide...not Go SEC.

I am on record for saying I pulled for Oregon to be Au Barn, did not want to see our bitter rival get a ring, SEC be danged...and I am also on record as saying michigan/tOSU should have been a rematch for the title a few years ago.

Well, nevermind then. Most SEC fans seem to forget their most high profile coach, and conference heads, whined against having a team in MNC that didn't win its conference.

Gee, we haven't heard much out of them this year.

And FTR, I think the two best teams played in the MNC...I just didn't want to see another boring-arse game.

    Thanks, BCS.
