Rode Mic Shoe Adapter for Canon G30

    I ordered the Rode VideoMic Camera Mount Shotgun Microphone with Rycote Shock Mount as well as a
    JJC Standard Hot Shoe Adapter for a Canon Vixia HF G30, but either I'm not smart enough to hook them together or the mic doesn't fit the adapter.

    Anyone out there know what adapter I need to get this mic mounted on the camera? If this adapter and mic combo should work hopefully someone can point me in the direction on how to hook them up.

    Forgot to look this morning. If memory serves right I put a shoe adapter on but been so long since I've looked at it
