I am trying mechanicals after being a fixed blade guy for years. I have narrowed it down to these two. Any thoughts on them? I am shooting 60lbs out of my Hoyt. Thanks Scoot

I shoot the grim reaper and it is absolutely awesome. Never had to adjust it for flying accuracy (I don't care what anyone says an untuned bow will not even shoot field points the same way as mechanical heads) but my bow is tuned

I killed a about about half a dozen with 100 gr rockets, they worked very well. My buddy been shooting Rockets for the last 10 plus years or so, John P is good to hang a min of three deer a year..on a good year when he has some doe tags signed over too him he doubles that...He uses them and never had an issue.

I would go NAP Spitfires for an over the top expandable... NAP has the sharpest blades out there IMO, i killed a big doe a couple weeks ago, giant hole full pass thru sliced thru 3 ribs and after cleaning off my broadhead the blades will still shave the hair off my arm. My dad has been shooting them since before they were released and has never lost a deer with them. Killzones or the new Rage chisel tips are good options too. Dont have much experience with the ones you listed but NAP quality is hard to beat!

^^^ Also might add that i killed my first deer with Spitfires and a Hoyt Maxxis set at 58lbs... Double lung shot, deer ran 40yds and was done.

Broadhead threads are the best...it goes like this.

I am looking for info on Broadhead X thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know anything about Broadhead x but I shot a doe with broad head Y and it worked great.

Dont ever use Broadhead K, I hit a doe an it bounced off.

Sorry if this is a problem Scoot12. I wasnt trying to just throw everything off topic, just throwing another option out there for you if you are open to ideas. I have been very happy with my broadheads, and being so similiar to the Grim Reapers i thought it might be another possible choice for you if you are interested. Having used such a similar setup to you also, just wanted to share my experience that i know for a fact that they work! I have heard of grim realers being very reliable and durable broadheads. I have not heard much about the rockets, but if i hear anything before you pick some up i will post it up.
