I only shoot a half dozen arrows a year with broadheads. so likely I won't ever do it. haven't shot field points in years.

Did it once about 12 yrs ago and kept it for about a year. The following year I pulled the arrows apart and kept using it. Didn't take a picture back then. Have had to refletch quite a few over the years but seldom shoot 2 at the same spot now, way less upkeep that way.

I'm not trying to come off the wrong way by saying this because I'm truly curious, but how do you practice?

I set a single leaf on my giant sand pile and shoot them. I haven't had to move my sights in about 7 or 8 years. switching back and forth from field points and broadheads became annoying resighting the bow in. I just decided to practice with what I hunt with. I don't change my equipment. if it ain't broke don't fix it. some need more practice then others I guess. I've been bowhunting for 30 years so kind of like riding a bike.

I'm a pretty decent rifle shooter, so decided to take up archery to prolong my hunting season. Bought a used bow, went to a pro shop and had it tuned, and got a lesson. This was literally my 2nd day shooting... Learned a valuable lesson, don't aim at the same spot. Btw I prefer archery hunting over rifle now.

You know you could tune the bow properly to where they would hit the same regardless of what point. How are your strings looking since you've had the same set on that long?

Most of us shoot because we enjoy it. It's not like it takes much practice to hit a deer at 10-20 yards

I'm sure you are hands down better with a bow than me but I throw arrows every chance I get. I find that if I Max my bow poundage during off season then drop it in mid September to 60# my steady dead draw is extended substantially.

I change my strings and cables every few years. don't get me wrong I love to shoot. I just don't have much time anymore. I also don't take shots out of my comfort zone either. eventually I want to get back into 3d shooting but not going to happen yet.
