When shooting 3d shoots, I’ve shot several robin hoods, but luckily, it’s always been on my own arrows. But I got to thinking the other night as a guy and I kept trading off busting each others knocks about ever other target, what happens if we robin hood a couple of these puppies?

Honestly, I don’t care as much if someone does it to me... I’m more concerned that I’m doing the right thing as a respectful and courteous fellow archer. Do you offer to give him some money? And if so, what do you offer? 10 bucks, something more nominal like 5 bucks? Or is it generally considered "a risk you take when you play the game" - which is kinda the way I see it??

Just curious what others thoughts or past experiences are?

Do you guys shoot more than one arrow at a target per shooter at your local shoots? Never heard of that.

Anyhow, usually when I'm shooting I'm with buddies, if an arrow gets destroyed we usually laugh at the other persons misfortune......lol.....:d. I've done it quite a few times and even people I don't know never get mad, it's kinda the inevitable if your with decent shooters.

Also when it comes to scoring, if you pipe someones arrow, you get the same score as their arrow. If you hit it square and deflect, you score it where it lands.

I used to shoot indoor leagues when I was in High School. THey had one target setup on a cable, that would "fly" from one end of the lanes to the other. The whole team (4 guys) would shoot at the same time. Naturally, every once in a while, two arrows would strike in midair. We just laughed it off.

    It's part of the game.

Depends on the shoot.... In the situations I've ran into around here that I'm referring to, the shooters are paired with another archer and they each shoot either 1 or sometimes 2 arrows a piece at the same target.... So with up to 4 arrows being shot at each target, there can be a fair amount of contact - kinda depends on if your both decent shooters or not....

Like Matt above, I've never heard of 2 arrows being shot at the same 3D target, at least in outdoor 3D shoots with 30 targets.

I'm guessing your talking indoor 3D or 3D with less than 30 targets.

Anyway, I'm with Matt, we chuckle/rib at the others misfortune. Nocks in good position are always up for violating

I thought it was a gentlemans agreement that if you R/H another person's arrow you got the score and arrow as trophy? I have done it to 3 of my own in back yard and a buddies one time,he was so impressed I let him keep it...it was luck!:d

Yea i did happen to you once. It wasn't at a 3D shoot but me and caleb(Siman08/OH) were shooting at different angles and yardages a deer target and he clipped one of my arrows right in half. He just laughed and took some pics.
