I've never ever saw one and yet Rob/PA has shot a good share of them. Would I take one, you bet!! It would be on the wall In no time, I do like unique looking racks. So, anyone out there ever got one besides the "famous" Rob? Pics?

Rob, were all these Rob bucks taken In the same woods/area?

    NICE ONE GRI22!

I didn't see this thread until I posted in my thread but here's it again.

Schultzy, they came from 3 different areas. The two with the broken main beams 04 and 07 were shot from the same tree. I have some fighters on my hands. :d

Every "Rob" buck I've taken I'm proud as heck to have taken. Only 1 of them was under 3.5 years of age and a trophy in my eyes and that 1 was shot on my birthday, a day I've always wanted to take a buck and score never came into the equation at that point. Here's the starring roles,

The Starter, almost 60" of antler on his left side, with a 16" spread he would have been a 130" 3.5 yr old. That lone side is a 10.5" brow with a snapped main beam right behind it. I honestly thought it was a spike side when I shot him. 04 Contest

My 2.5 year old and only birthday buck, the next star in the "Rob" buck series. :d 05 Contest

They are silhouetted/euro mounted together above the W of Bowtech behind the bar wall.

Mr. Broken Main Beam, 3.5 year old 07

Mounted: That's him on the wall to the right.

And Mr Halloween 08, 3.5 yr old

I'm thankful for each of these bucks.

How about this one that was mounted at the outfitter in IL,

I understand he would have been a 200" with both sides.

Or this bad boy, yeah I'd consider him in the class or role:

This probably doesn't qualify as much of a Rob buck but has the most charactor of any I have shot. It's a 6X4 with a busted G3 on the smaller side. The beam on the smaller side was also starting to crab claw on the end.

All nice bucks. I don't care if a buck is missing parts of his rack. If he's a shooter, he's a shooter, and I would be proud either way. There's some cool character in these bucks you guys have shot!

Awesome bucks guys,,,, I have not shot one but did miss one almost exactly like the one Grizz is holding. I couldnt get him to stop as he was chasing a Doe, I tried to make the shot and shot under him  I passed a very nice and upcomming one this season. He was either a very nice 1.2 or a decent 2.5. I had him at 12-15 yards, He was around 15" wide, had one side with three points and no brow, and the other side had a long beam, no points but had a brow. Love the pics guys!!

Here's my Rob buck from this year. He would have been perfectly normal but two tines on left side are busted off.

Named proudly after our own Rob/Pa, as you can see he has quite a few on his resume. He has famously (or imfamously :d) been the namesake of all goofy looking whitetails.

    LOL Thanks Al,

bowhunter546, Honestly I'm not sure who coined it. I wish I knew now but back in 04 on another website (HNI) we started a team contest, I shot the one I posted above in my post. The year after I shot the second one. I think at that time some one started the nickname for all really unusual bucks that they have/had on game cam etc... I accept the coined phrase with honors. Sometimes now it's second nature to call one of them a "Rob" buck. LOL. Some of it came from ribbing ole Rob here (me) about his (my) bucks and many just embraced it too as when someone mentions a Rob buck, most know what to expect. LOL
