Here is a buck I have been getting pictures of all year. I have yet to see this deer while hunting this property. His right side is a strong 4pt side and his left, well you can see that. HAHA. If you look at the last picture you can really see why he is like that, he has some kind of injury to his back right leg. His leg has looked this way since I got the first picture of him back in September. I would really like to see how he walks in person.

Yep definitely something happened to that back leg. It looks to be healed over now. Makes you wonder what he might turn out to be next year.

He is a neat looking buck to say the least. He seams to be healthy looking though. I am learning that deer are some pretty tough animals.

My butcher friend told me that if they have an injury it effects their antler growth cause one of my other friends shot what he though was a doe, but it was a buck that lost its rack already cause it was injured. I'd like to see what he is like in a few years.

It might be just the picture, but it looks to me like he may have an injury to his back right leg? Maybe got hit by a car? The first 2 pictures look like his leg(s) angle in quite a bit and the last picture looks like there is a growth or something. Like I said it may be the angle in the pictures..

Generally, the antler that is affected is on the opposite side of the body from the injury.
