    One of my favorites......

    1 Large roast
    Minced Garlic
    1/2 Onion diced
    2 cups Red wine

Sear the roast in a skillet on High heat.
Remove the roast and put it in the Crock Pot.
Add onion and garlic to the skillet, let it start to caramelize on Medium heat
Pour Red wine into skillet and reduce the total liquid by half ( Medium high heat)

Add wine sauce to the crock pot
Take a nap   Dream about hunting

Roast will be done in 4 hours, but it is even better to cook it for 8 hours.

I usually remove the roast, and thicken the wine sauce with corn starch to make a gravy.

Sounds delicious. Another marinade that can be used for brisket or roast that we just had the other night is Heinz chili sauce, 1 beer, garlic, onions and a little brown sugar.
