I hope the media doesn't blow this up now. Regardless of what happened previously to when the video started, glad the teens roughed him up. Guy looked in his late 40's, should have a higher maturity level to not punch what looked like a minor and then pulls a gun ruining his chance to ever carry depending on what state he is in. Plus the harm he has caused law abiding citizens who are passionate about guns. All my opinion but this stuff ticks me off. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
I don't know the whole story but I'm assuming the driver and he had the issue and he punched the driver and then the driver AND his buddy jumped out and kicked the crap out of the guy. Not sure you can say the guy had his a$$ handed two him when he had to fend off two guys. Moral of the story is don't expect people to fight fair.
This is both sad and funny. Sad that the man carrying engaged the teens and then pulled his gun simply to induce fear...after he got his butt handed to him which was pretty funny. I don't think the teens did anything wrong, but we don't know what happened prior to the video.
I understand what you're saying but what happened to that guy was completely fair and he got exactly what he should've got. It isn't like they curb stomped him and continued to rough him up while he was down. He thought he was gonna go punk out some little young bucks and forgot he was a tubby middle aged guy. He got a reminder and then proceeded to show exactly how tough he was after that. And his wife is an idiot, had she come running in swinging she'd be alright in my book but alas she didn't. Moral of the story don't pick fights with people and their friends especially if you are a tubby old guy. Fair fight? Oxymoron.
I see where your coming from but still not sure we know the whole story. Three high schools guys messing with some tubby old dude and his wife. Not sure what set him off but that's why it's called road rage. His wife pulled the gun and gave to him. I thought he handled it well all things considered. It could of ended with three kids shot and killed, suspect on the loose. We've all seen set up fights were a bunch of kids pick some poor soul to kick the crap out of while their buddy videos it. I'm just saying. Bottom line the guy should of blown them off and got on with his business but two guys come at you focus one at a time. Shut him down then deal with the other. Best way to win a fight though is to never get in one.
hmmmmm I'm not sure being 40 plus has anything to do with it. I'm 40 and so are a few guys i happen to know that would put a good beating on a few young guys. Blind sided by one then 2 on 1 they had a bit of the advantage. But I'm still standing by he was wrong all around Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
I don't know how old he was. I just think if he was approaching them and halfway in the car he was aware of the number of them and apparently assumed he could handle it. He then pulls the chicken ish move of punching a guy sitting in the drivers seat whose buddy then immediately gets out to help. If I'm the guy in the backseat I'm pretty sure I would have responded the same way. In many situations the term fair fight is like I said earlier an oxymoron. Was it fair to punch some guy still sitting in his car? About as fair as getting smacked around by two teenagers I guess. I don't know what's worse getting beat up in front of your old lady by some youngins you road raged on or both getting arrested afterwards. Felony charges facing 4 years....oops. It does reinforce to me that if you're gonna carry you'd better be level headed and your wife should be too.
"Bradley Turner claims he was defending himself, his wife and daughter after a pick-up truck cut him off. He followed the truck for 40 minutes all the way back to the truck driver’s house! When they arrived, Turner approached the truck and punched the driver." From Fox News insider Two things strike me here. Claims he was defending himself.....followed the truck for 40 minute Those two things don't jive.
He didn't just pump a few in the ground either, hit hit the truck the kids were driving and a house......allegedly.
My husband has a rule which would have applied to both sides. "Don't mess with people strange to you." Those young guys could have had weapons. They could have administered a really severe beating. The older guy might have shot someone. Incredible stupidity all the way around.
I remember being in high school and driving around with a few friends. We'd mess with everybody and if they gave us crap back, it was on. Lucky people didn't carry back then like they do now.
It looks to me as if this guy followed the kids, then approached them. He should have gotten his butt kicked for being dumb. He was way too big for his britches. If he thought it would be just 1 on 1 at a time he's an idiot. I don't blame the wife for getting the gun out, she panicked. Butt kicked or not, he should have just put it away. You could tell by the look on his face that we wasn't going to actually use it and pulling out a gun simply to look tough is, well, illegal. He won't have to worry about that anymore though.
Likely if any of us were in our trucks and some moron followed us home and then punched our buddy in the face while he was sitting in the drivers seat we'd all hop out and administer something similar to what was on the video. He needs some jail time for the firearm part of the equation. I think the reporter said shots were fired after the camera went off. Who would do that with their daughter in the vehicle with them? He is the type of guy who should not be allowed to carry. He's got issues. He's also lucky that one of those kids dad didn't come out of the house and shoot him. If I looked out my window and some guy was pointing a gun at my kid I'd get lethal with no warning what so ever.
Anyone with a phone should have called 911 to report a road rage incident befor that 40 minute ride. It appears the kids had a phone. Ignorant people amaze me.
As bad as it turned it it could have been worse for both parties. Someone could have been hit by one of those shots that struck the house or car. The shooter could have been justifiably shot if the homeowner/parent would have been armed and saw the man firing a gun toward their kid/house. I mean you look out in the driveway and see a women with a gun, a fight, and then a man firing a gun. Many folks might have armed themselves or been armed and went outside at the onset and when they encountered a man shooting at the house/boys/car would have probably been within their rights to fill him full of buckshot.
